YouthMove15’s newly released systematic literature review examines the 15-minute city

Project partners conducted an international systematic literature review on the relationship between proximity and independent mobility, participatory approaches for CYP, and sustainable mobility in education.

YouthMove15 recently released a systematic literature review examining the 15-minute city, spatial proximity and the specific needs and experiences of children and young people. The review aims to refine the conceptualisation of the 15-minute city by foregrounding two dimensions insufficiently addressed in existing scholarship: child-calibrated proximity and participatory approaches that enable CYP to contribute meaningfully to urban planning and governance. The findings support the development of a shared conceptual framework for the project and inform the design of forthcoming participatory and Living Lab activities. Read the paper here.
